One of my customers has a compelling enough product for me to debut a post here. My first of many posts hopefully, if David invites me back.

It’s not Cold-fusion, its not even web based. In fact it’s not related to any other post written here on Mclean Practically Agile.

However, before you lose all interest , it is technology based. In fact it enables more technology than most other products you will hear of today (or tomorrow).

Machine-to-Machine communication enables a predicted mass of 65 billion machines globally, to talk to each other. Of particular interest to this post is the precise method of communication – sim based connectivity.

Sims account for an ever-growing proportion of this number, and in the UK market alone, we predict there are 1.3million machines connected using sim cards.

We all use a sim card in our mobile phones, they connect using the networks created by the likes of O2 & Vodafone. The quality is now high enough to provide live video streaming of excellent quality, from a CCTV camera back to head office.

Introducing aptly named Wireless Logic. These chaps are the market leaders in the UK. They connect hundreds of thousands of machines, and airtime is managed via their own solution. You can read case studies at their website.

If Neo can somehow plug himself into the airwaves, could he control the machines which talk to each other? Maybe I should find out.

A film pitching Keanu Reeves versus Arnie could be a reality. That would be a cracking film. Until then, think M2M, think Wireless Logic.
